Debenhams launch new ‘Bags For Life’

A New range of  'bags for life' featuring the designs of John Rocha, Henry Holland, Betty Jackson, Ben De Lisi and Julien Macdonald has been launched by Debenhams.

Made from recycled material (as are the company's standard carrier bags), the bags are 470mmx410mm in size, and will cost the Customer 5p each.

Debenhams claim that the company was using the same producer for the thicker, stronger bags as it does for its standard carriers.

The chain uses 70 million carrier bags per year, and, since mid-2007, the plastic content of all its bags has been 100% recycled material.

The new bags have been designed to reflect the designers' signature styles and personalities.
