Family (and friends) design for Fairtrade
Design Agency, Family (and friends) has worked with Fairtrade organisation Traidcraft and Alara Wholefoods to produce GeoMuesli in a new eco-friendly packaging).
Mixed Berry, Fruit & Nut and Exotic Fruit are amongst the range which is made with ingredients sourced from seven countries across three continents. The pack graphics show silhouetted illustrations of growers and workers from around the world.
A sustainably sourced carton is used for the new range of muesli, with a bag made from Super-Eco film, which can biodegrade in 18 months.
Alex Durbridge, Creative Director of Family (and friends) said: "The challenge was to avoid being too worthy - to get the right balance of shelf impact and naturalness."
Traidcraft's best-selling Geobar range was launched 10 years ago. The new range will be launched by Traidcraft and Alara at the food and catering trade show Anuga held in Cologne, Germany this week (10-14 October).
