Lancastrian Labels goes into administration

Around 20 jobs will be lost following the news that Lancastrian Labels has ceased trading.

The Company that designs and prints self adhesive labels from its Liverpool base went into administration on 10 February.   David Kelly of PricewaterhouseCoopers was appointed as administrator.

Mr Kelly said that Lancastrian had gone through a restructuring in 2009 and that there were around 22 staff at the time of his appointment.  "We're now looking to realise the firm's assets for the benefit of the creditors," he said.

He added that he was in talks about selling several pieces of machinery that were at the site.

According to Companies House, Lancastrian has fixed assets worth £610,000.
