Make Spooling even easier!
De-Spooling units offer the opportunity to use traverse wound bobbins where pads/pancakes were previously utilised.
These units can be a simple small unit or a sophisticated fully braked / tension unit dependant on application. They will take a traverse wound bobbin through a set of rollers and feed onto your application in a straight line as a conventional pad would do.
Dimensions of bobbins (or spools) can be up to 440mm outer diameter by 300mm width on 3" (76mm) or 6" (152mm) internal diameter cores. Please see our ’Products & Services’ page for further details.
SJA have already converted several ’Blue Chip’ Company’s from pads containing 1800 linear metres that lasted just 40 minutes to bobbins with as much as 56,500 linear metres now lasting 1.5 days! This saves pad (roll) changeovers, and, reduces scrap/labour enabling longer run of product.
In the current economic climate, this is one area that is gathering speed as a cost cutting advantage.
