First it tackled plastic bags, now the company behind the reusable Onya Bag is hoping to reduce the amount of bottled water consumed in the UK.
Britons consumed a total of 2 billion litres of bottled water in 2008, the equivalent of 33 litres per person, according to the British Soft Drinks Association.
To tackle this issue, Onya has launched Reusablebottle.co.uk, a new website which sells a total of 50 different styles of water bottle.
Customers can choose from bottles that can be folded up and stored, bottles that purify the water and a bottle that can be converted into a cafetire, among others.
"I have a feeling that the plastic bottle market will generate the same energy as the plastic bag debate did," said website founder Dan Brousson. "We are in the situation where people are almost addicted to throwing things away."
Brousson likens using a reusable water bottle to using a reusable bag, adding that "both are a lifestyle choice".
Brousson said: "We wanted to create a single point where individuals could find a bottle which reflects their personality, a practical need or conveys a message they want to share."
In August, the H2Onya stainless steel bottle will go on sale on the website.
