France is a market that has seen double-digit growth in the past 10 years.
It is a unique snacking market which increasingly favours the traditional - sandwich, particularly baguettes, which represent around 70% of sales.
France is also one of the only countries in the world where the sandwich is more popular than the hamburger: on average 9 sandwiches are eaten for every 1 hamburger, or for every 16 pizzas or 48 pasta dishes (all distribution channels / eating in and eating out).
